Here’s my link of the day.
Very valuable Blog Entry from VMware. Excellent links, great coverage on the topic…
Have a nice day.
Well, on my first HowTo, I’m gonna take it easy on you and will simply show you how to install ESXi to your dedicated hardware. Click (HERE) for more details.
Following right up will be the tutorial, how to get some unsupported hardware (like Realtek based NICs) into your ESXi installation source, so you can have your old hardware (provided you have some, that is remotely capable of running ESXi with drivers available somewhere) run ESXi at home or wherever you like it. Please note that this will put your ESXi in unsupported status and even if you get a vSphere licence, you will not get support on that (from VMware officially, that is. Who knows whether the community might be able to help you).
Hope you enjoy my tutorials and let me know what you think.
